Dr. Johnson, a researcher at OSU-CHS, studies anaerobic microbiology, microbial systematics & taxonomy, and the human microbiome. Her lab looks for new bacteria that could lead to better, more personalized treatments. She has led health research projects across the U.S.A. and Europe.

I am a PhD candidate and graduate research assistant at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences, studying the relationships between microbes and human health. My research focuses on uncovering novel microbes and their roles in disease prevention and treatment to advance human health.

I am a third-year PhD student under the leadership of I-Hsiu Huang, PhD, at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences. My research currently involves the development of a multi-epitope vaccine using fusion proteins to target the intestinal pathogen Clostridioides difficile.
